Flower Chorus reminds me of a choir singing, thus the name. Made by hand cutting and piecing the rosettes from vintage pure silk saree pieces, vintage bedsheets, and Indian block prints. At 18×18, the sequins catch the light and highlight the depth and texture of the piece, harmonizing with the metallic embroidery and lavender and sky blue of the vintage bedsheet pieces. The red block print blossoms crown the piece like soloists. Flower Chorus is one of my favorite pieces and it’s going to be hard to let this one go. $930 unframed.
